ActiveBatch® Web Server/Client
The ActiveBatch Web Server/Client interface provides secure and easy internet/intranet access to the comprehensive ActiveBatch, Enterprise Job Management and Scheduling System. ActiveBatch users can now manage their jobs and processes from any platform that can run either the Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape web browsers.
Today's mobile workforce requires operational and administrative access to their job management and scheduling systems from any system or geographic location. ActiveBatch's broad and powerful capabilities, which already support job execution across a wide range of hardware and software platforms, now offers client access to the ActiveBatch system through the most popular web browsers. By simplifying how users can connect to their systems and also adding a host of new platforms that can support enhanced client access capabilities ActiveBatch users will find an overall improvement in server and application manageability. Administrators will appreciate expanded capabilities from the Web Server/Client interface because software is limited and fully authenticated access can be provided.
The ActiveBatch Web Client allows full operational control for creating, modifying, submitting, holding or deleting ActiveBatch objects, including jobs or processes, as well as their properties within the ActiveBatch system by making full use of the Microsoft Windows 2000/NT security model. In addition the authenticated user can utilize the ActiveBatch Web Client to manage all on-going operational situations and initiate actions from the "web" desktop.
Minimum Requirements
The ActiveBatch Web Server component is separately licensed and is installed on a per Microsoft IIS server basis. No special software is required on the client's machine and an unlimited number of client machines are fully supported.
