Migration
During
the Porting stage the physical migration is performed. The issues revolve
around technical problems and their solutions. In this stage some re-engineering
of specific applications is performed and new database technology can be introduced.
When completed, all technical differences between the original host and the
new system will have been uncovered and solved. The focus here is following,
meeting, and beating the project schedule.
Cost: Ascertained as part of Stage Two Assessment and included in Stage Two Assessment Report.
Process: Porting, Testing and Productization.
Description: Perform all migration activities described in the Stage Two Assessment Report.
Objective: Deliver a working system on the target platform. This is the implementation stage.

As described in the project plan supplied with the Stage Two Assessment Report
Tasks
Re-host legacy/proprietary application to target platform. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Database replacement
- User interface replacement
- Communication protocol replacement
- Design and implement new source code control and build procedures
- Acceptance testing
- Assist client with integration activities
- Delivery of a working application
