Project Manager – Business Operations, Sector7 USA, Inc.

Summary Description:

The principle purpose of the Project Manager position is to develop the necessary systems and processes necessary for the recruitment, tracking, planning and execution of future Sector7 USA projects. The Project Manager will provide supervision for all phases of a project, including development of the client SOW, coordinating resources, materials, and systems, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The career path for this position is to Director of Business Operations, General Manager or COO.

Responsibilities Include:

Oversee the development of relevant client project proposals and budgets and recommend approval of them before submission to clients.
Attend client meetings for ongoing and prospective projects. Determine project requirements and assign staff. Oversee and maintain liaison between all parties concerned with the project to facilitate any changes or modifications and to facilitate resolution of project problems.
Analyze short- and long-term resource needs and adjust staffing and resources appropriately.
Arrange, manage and maintain relevant outsourcing relationships.
Ensure completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; track milestones and timelines across projects and institute necessary work flow, personnel and financial resource allocations, making alterations when necessary to meet expectations of clients; analyze and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize performance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables; analyze financial and operational reports.
Responsibility for financial performance of projects.
Maintain records of expenses and approve payment for contractors. Track milestones and/or percent complete and inform accounting as these levels are attained so invoices can be sent in a timely manner. Review and approve invoices to sponsors.
Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts and budgets.
Travel, as needed, to provide oversight and assistance for off-site projects.
Recommend new business opportunities, new systems and processes, and improvements in operations. Implement operational improvements approved by senior management.
Technical knowledge of the complex services engagement process for BPM / Enterprise Engineering, Platform Rehosting / Migration Services, software optimization of OpenVMS and / or UNIX/LINUX are preferred.

Preferred Knowledge:

Proven experience in complex services project / program management, customer relationship management skills.
DEC VMS / OpenVMS / Alpha / VAX knowledge, preferably a former employee of DEC, Compaq, HP, other Tier One OEM or Business Partner
UNIX migration experience, including AIX, HP UX, Tru64, LINUX, other
Technical Writing Skills
Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures and documentation.
Must have the ability to write reports, documentation, Statements of Work, and procedure manuals in English.

Years of Experience:

7-10 years relevant experience managing projects of increasing complexity.

Minimum Level of Education:

Four-Year Degree, or equivalent experience
